Wireless Microphone Hire

Wireless microphone systems delivered, setup & tuned by experienced technicians from $175 or with speakers from $295.

Wireless microphones can be a great solution where you need  to move around freely or avoid excess cabling.   Choosing the right system though isn't as easy as many people think.   We have extensive experience with wireless mics & can help you select a system to suit your event & budget.

Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Wireless Microphone

-How many units can be run at once?
-What range do they need to cover?
-Will the line of sight be blocked?
-Do you need a hand held, lapel or headset microphone?
-What to do if there's interference?

Common Wireless Mic Mistakes

-Running them on the default channel
-Not checking for RF
-Gain mismatch on lapels & headset mics
-Poor speaker placement or inadequate speakers when using lapels or headsets.
-Trying to use lapels or headsets in windy environments

What's the Difference between better Systems?

-Distance without dropouts
-Can be used in larger groups
-Can take external antennas for even greater distance
-Long battery life
-Remote monitoring of battery level.

What Type of Microphone Should I Use?

-If possible go with a hand held & save a lot of headaches.
-Due to the long distance from the mouth, lapel mics require considerable amplification.  They are therefore very prone to feedback (high pitched squealing).   They are actually not used much these days for live events. The most popular hands-free option is the headset.

Did You Know?

-Every extra live microphone you have on a stage, reduces your maximum volume before feedback by 3 decibels!.   This is not a lot by itself but add 3 or 4 mics & it's a significant reduction.

Wireless Microphone Tips

-If using lapel or headsets
-Instruct people presenting from the stage not to walk in front of the speakers.  This can cause feedback.   You'd be surprised how often people forget.
